Yearly Blogger

So to start off, it's been almost another year since I last blogged. I've just come to accept that I'm a yearly blogger.

So a little recap is in order I suppose....

Well, I went on the annual camping trip with the Tye's and definitely had to stop at the river. Despite how cold the river was due to the runoff, Rustin and everyone seemed to have an amazing time which was just what we needed on a hot July day.

We also went to the Fairy Forest and some of the kids had made some rocks to put in the forest. And we took a picture with Grandpa and all of his great-grandchildren.I took my then boyfriend, Kevin however, shortly after we broke up. It was hard but I learned a lot from it.

In August, I was able to make it up to Reno, NV with Maryann, Wendy, Lori, and Megan to visit Barb and Terry and go sailing, I got to sail for a bit and we took a little tour of the lake and also took a little dip in the lake!

In September 2010 Heather and Rustin came to visit and I had a wonderful time with them there. Rustin definitely wore me out but it looks like he was a little worn out as well. At the end of the week we flew to Utah and went with the whole family(minus Tom, Marc and Lauren) went up to Yellowstone and we stayed in a cabin and everyone took turns making meals and it was amazing seeing the fantastic wildlife. Rustin loved seeing all of the wildlife and actually did very well for the whole drive.

Hopefully I will have some more updates soon and more pictures...It's getting late and I'm getting sleepy...yawn....

Wow! I'm really good at Blogging...Right??

So, Since it's been over a year since I've updated my Blog I would like to say that a ton has happened but it hasn't...except for a few weddings, some new babies, my lil' sis left on a mission, and a new boyfriend i guess would be the highlights of the last year....

So, to start off my older sister Heather got married Sept 2009 which was awesome and I'm so greatful that Marc is a part of the family! And Rustin looked super cute in his little tux. The nexe week i happened to be in another wedding. My friends Crystal and Jared got married! It was a beautiful wedding and i was sooo blessed to have been in the wedding. I love them both.

Since Lauren had decided to go on her mission her Disneyland pass was about to expire so she went in October for the last time before she left for the MISH in March...

Then, for Thanksgiving my family (Mom, Lauren and I) decided to take a little weekend trip to Big Bear, CA to stay a couple nights...it was really beautiful and we stayed at a cabiny hotel on the lake...little did we know the day after Thanksgiving there was going to be a huge snow storm which I personally was not prepared for

...the car wasn't either! There was a check point when leaving the canyon and only cars with 4x4 or chains could go down. So we had to buy some chains and Lauren and I had to put them on the car...Whew! But all in all it was a great weekend and I was so happy to see some snow! I've missed it so much living down here in CA.

For Christmas it was just my mom, me and Lauren here opening a few little presents...It was nice to just be together as a fam....I went and met up with Holli, Meg and Danielle in Vegas to ring in 2010 which was a ton of fun!!

Then February came, Lauren's birthday and Patty's wedding...I wasn't able to attend but from the pictures it looks like it was beautiful! Then towards the end of February I took a trip to Utah to see my sister off to the MTC, go to Kirsten's bridal shower and just hang with the fam! And came back in April for Kirst's wedding.....

And this is about the time that I met my wonderful boyfriend Kevin. We met on LDSSingles.com on April 4th, we got to know each other quickly and decided to become girlfriend and boyfriend on April 11th. And we have been dating for 2 1/2 months. He lives in Lancaster which is about 2 hours north of Costa Mesa, where i live. We get to see each other every weekend. And our favorite place to go is Disneyland....that about wraps it up for now...I'll try to keep posting.

Lauren's First!

This was the Saturday after we got into town and this is Aunt Lauren's first time holding her baby nephew!! How cute!

Recap

A lot has happened since i last posted a blog. At the beginning of December I met up with Lisa, Meg, Danielle and Holli in Vegas for the weekend cause Meg and Holli were running a half marathon. It was a blast! Then, I went to Utah and spent a little time with the fam. I drove up with Lauren on Friday, it was a short trip but really good to spend some quality time with my family. We went shopping and to dinner and just hung out. We had "Christmas" the last night i was there so we could all be together. The big family present was a Wii with Rockband! It's a ton of fun. And i got lots of other goodies too! I wish i could have seen more people while i was there but that just means i'll have to make another trip:) Then Christmas came...it was just me and my mom...we opened a few presents and then went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons. It was a really good movie! Then I met up with my friend Molly on New Years at Disneyland. We watched the Fantasmic show which was pretty great but didn't stay for the festivities cause it was soooo packed! And that's about it!

First Thought and My Surprise Visit

When i first signed in and saw my picture, my first thought was that if one of my old friends were to happen upon my blog they might think that the baby i was holding was mine, although i wish he was he is not. My sister, Heather just had a brand new baby boy, Rustin on Nov 12th. He is the cutest baby I've ever seen, not that I'm biased or anything. I was so happy that I had the chance to go visit last weekend to see my sister and the new baby. Even better was that it was a surprise. I had planned to fly to Utah last weekend but my sister had no idea and my mom kept it a very good secret because she was going to be there. On Saturday night I called my sister to talk to my mom and after she hung up Heather said, "Didn't she want to talk to me?" with a puzzled look on her face. My mom replied with, "Why would she want to do that?" And got up and walked to the front door where to my sister's surprise i stood on the other side. She was so happy to see me! It really was awesome and I spent the rest of the weekend holding Rustin every chance I got. I just can't wait to go back and see him in December!!!
